One of the best sounding guitar apps around — with each single note of the guitar carefully recorded. Highly playable user interface with easy access to hundreds of chords that can be visualized just as they would be played on a real guitar.
With GuitarCapo, playing guitar and learning chords turns into a breeze. With simple clicks you can discover the most unique chords. In addition, you can use the built-in capo to transpose chords — just like on a real guitar! With GuitarCapo however, you are shown the name of the new chords you're playing!
Made with passion and 20 years of guitar experience.
You will find configurable buttons that provide direct access to hundreds of chords with a simple click. In the chord library you will find everything from simple chords to more advanced jazz chords.
You can even make your own chords with the Chord Builder!
All chords can appear on a chord display indicating how they could be played on a real guitar. If you tap them, the chord will be played. It is you who decide how fast the chord should play. This is an amazing way to learn new chords!
The effect mixer allows you to change the sound as you desire; pan each string, delay, reverb, distortion, EQ and volume. You can also save your settings for later use as a preset.
With support for Audiobus, you can use GuitarCapo as a virtual guitar and send sound directly to other apps that also support Audiobus. Read more about Audiobus at audiob.us
With support for Inter-App Audio (IAA) , you can use GuitarCapo as a virtual guitar and send sound directly to other music host apps also support IAA.
With MIDI-in support you can play the sounds in GuitarCapo from any other app sending MIDI or a external MIDI controller through i.e. your Camera Kit
Use GuitarCapo+ as a MIDI controller with MIDI out. This means that you can control the sound in other apps that support MIDI in, ie apps such as iGrand Piano, SampleTank or record MIDI in you favorite sequencer such as Cubasis

So now it's on my iPad and I have to say I just love the new Strat sound with a really nice long decay. What a difference it makes to playability. If there's one thing most developers get wrong it's that they cut the samples too short in an effort to make the App footprint smaller. But they fail to realize that playing a guitar isn't about strumming like a maniac ... well it is sometimes... but have the instrument 'breath' during natural spaces without just cutting out, is absolutely required. Guitar capo now has that in spades. Thanks Jon-Morten !!!!
The App runs beautifully in AudioBus and I've been having a ton of fun playing it through the ToneStack amp sim which was on a killer sale a while ago ... and is reduced right now if you want to run and get new Guitar and Amp for a couple of bucks!
The UI of Guitar Capo has also been tweaked in a very positive direction ...
For normal playing, configurable chord pads are tapped to activate several ways of triggering the indicated chord. The player can strum or tap individual stings, tap any white string 'box' for a simple power strum, or tap the 'Current Chord' box. Not only does this box show how to play the chord on a real guitar but it is divided into 4 quadrants, each of which will play a different strum style. The top two quads play down and up strums respectively, the bottom left plays a downward strum on strings 4,5,6 and the bottom right quad has five variations to choose from the 'Strum' buttons located at the top of the UI! Very cool. The speed of the strum is controlled with the drum speed slider, so it can finger pick or strum as you wish!
The Capo from the App's name is also more usable now being adjustable from a Capo Pane above the Current Chord display. Just slide it ... and joy... an indicator above in blue, tells you what chord is playing in the capo's current position!
I'm pretty excited about this development ... Guitar Capo is a really playable surface now and while it's on special you'd be crazy not to buy it immediately.
Not to mention MIDI In/Out and Custom Chord Building.. both very desirable features.
