Lessons for all levels and styles... It doesn't matter if you play an acoustic guitar, electric guitar or both. Our lessons are designed for both. Whether you are a complete beginner or if you have been playing for years and years, we have designed an app for you that will change the way you look at the guitar.
The following guitar lessons have been created with the beginner in mind. It is suggested that new guitarists begin at lesson one, spending at least one week learning the exercises and songs in that lesson before moving on. Learning to relax while playing guitar will help immeasurably, so be sure to have fun!
This App is horrible. I'm posting about it because it promises a "Virtual Guitar" and in fairness there is one, but it sucks so bad it hurts my liver.
It looks like this ... and gives the impression the user might be able to strum and pick out some chords... but no. It's strictly tap-a- string-hear-a-hellishly-sounding-note when you release the tap. This is usually a $1.99 purchase ... the money is for the included guitar training which comes in the form of some text documents which run through some basics ... this is the neck ... this is a chord.. sort of stuff.
OK I guess some effort went into the 'lessons', but it's just not worth any of your money ... not with other competition out there. If you want lessons search for "Guitar 101" or "Guitar Master Class" ... or visit a music store and buy a book!
For now though this app is free, but if it reverts to $1.99 and you want to try the Guitar by itself ( for a sense of 'completeness'), there is a version called "Virtual Guitar" ... it is just the guitar, no lessons. I don't know why it exists.
And to make it all even more perfect, yet a third incarnation of this horror is floating around on the App Store to steal your bandwidth. This time it's called "My Guitar +" ( see below) apparently by different developer named Melissa Wong Lai Yin. I have a funny feeling someone is either selling 'app modules' or this is a means of gathering purchaser lists.
So unless we can turn this into a competition to find other Apps flogging the same guitar engine I think we're done here...
